CHRIS CARTER
DEACON
“Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)
I am so thankful that I've grown up hearing the good news about Jesus. I have multiple generations of family that have shown me God's goodness over the years.
However, despite never remembering a time when I didn't know about God, it's not enough to know about God. The good things I wanted to see happen in my life - more patience, more self control - were just short lived gym memberships that died out after January. The only way that real change has come into my life has been from choosing to call Jesus my Saviour and my Lord. It's been a slow process and it's not finished (just ask the Mrs) but I'm thankful that through knowing God rather than just knowing about God I'm changing for the better.
I've been married to Abby since 2010 and we have three kids - Iris, Ezrah and Zuzu. We moved to Gracemount Community Church in 2018 just after Zuzu was born and we're so thankful for the church family God has given us here.
